Who am I?
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chris Millham began his storytelling journey as an actor. That background continues to inform his work behind the camera, giving him a deep sense of intimacy and empathy for the person in the frame. It wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that he discovered his love for cinematography. While attending the University of Central Arkansas, where he specialized in Cinematography, Chris fell in love with life on set.
Shortly after graduation, he began working professionally—and his talent didn’t go unnoticed. In just three years, he earned credits on 11 feature films and television productions, primarily as a dolly grip, while also taking his first steps into Steadicam operating.
Chris currently works in-house at Film Gear Rentals in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where he serves as a Steadicam operator, dolly grip, camera technician, and electrician. His love for camera movement and lighting is not only a key part of his on-set work but also central to his passion projects as a cinematographer. He regularly shoots 5+ short films each year, with some projects even taking him abroad to places like Madrid, Spain.
With a background in sports, Chris understands the pressure of performance and the value of precision. He prides himself on achieving the shot in as few takes as possible—driven by a commitment to preparation, repetition, and excellence.
